August 10 Usk, Wales

We had quite the rain storm overnight – high winds and lots of water – the dregs of Hurricane Bertha; and we were safely asleep.  

Watching the news and the stories of flooding, we count our blessings.  We had some sprinkles as we drove today but nothing to speak of.  Intermittent blue skies and then clouds, that was it.

Still, we were on a mission to get to Usk so only made one stop for a coffee and then had a nice walk around once we got here.  Pretty uneventful day.

* We were walking inside the church very quietly when my phone started playing the Pink Panther theme song (my text notification sound) which made us crack up.  Thankfully no-one else was in the church!
