First thing we had to stop at the River Usk before leaving town and leaving Wales.
You can't see the river but you get to see Norm's shadow
Interesting drive across the Severn Bridge from Wales to England. Blue skies in Wales and then torrential rain
in England for about 15 minutes.
This morning we stopped in the tiny village of Castle Combe. So pretty! Pictures just don't do it justice.
Interesting sculpture in the town center
Here we are in the Cotswolds staying in the tiny village of Ampney Crucis (population 600) in a hotel with an incredibly long name – The Crown of Crucis Country Inn and Hotel. What a lovely spot! We’ve decided to stay a couple of days.
Looking out one of our hotel windows
Sending love R/P
You must take in Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, north of Oxford. A very spectacular pile and where Winston Churchill was born!
