Wouldn’t you know it? I caught
some bug. A couple of tablets and an
injection and I was feeling fine in a very short time. However, the ship has its rules and they say
I have to stay in the cabin for 48 hours.
I am looking forward to being able to leave the room tomorrow morning at
8.
So I’ve been watching movies and TV shows, playing cards, playing on
the computer, did my hour of yoga, walked around, napped . . . not terrible.
Norm, on the other hand, has been able to gallivant around and take in
various and sundry events. Today he’s in
a pool for the World Cup so I have to keep checking the TV to see the final
score. I think he’ll like it better when
he’s not on his own though.
Meanwhile, here’s a photo of the entrance to Illuminations, the
planetarium and movie theater.
Each evening a Daily Programme is delivered to the stateroom which has
everything that will happen the next day; place, time, details of events, etc. This then allows you to plan your day
accordingly. Twice now we have adjusted
the time an hour ahead. We will do that
each day for the next three days so that when we arrive in Southampton we will
be on local time.
During my confinement to cabin, we've had a special crew who came in twice
a day to disinfect all surfaces, change linens and towels. They were masked, gloved and covered up with
a plastic kimono. It actually felt a
little scary. There was also a special
crew who brought in my meals and took the trays away. This room service had plastic utensils and
paper plates rather than the china that is normally used.
Norm couldn’t resist practicing his knots and he made a special one for
our balcony door .

Hope you feel better - quick!
