July 31 Wigton, Cumbria

Today was housekeeping day – that means time to do laundry, get haircuts, go to the library and print out our e-tickets and luggage tags for Cunard, and pay bills (ugh).

While that all took a big chunk of the day, we still got in a drive down the coast to St. Bees Head.

A serious warning at the Maryport Harbor

Looking down at St. Bees (hard to see the Solway Firth)

When we got back to Wigton we had a great meal and lovely bottle of Chilean wine at The Kildare, a relatively new restaurant here which was highly recommended on TripAdvisor.

We have had such a treat being here – but time marches on and we need to be heading south toward Southampton so we’re off tomorrow exploring the Lake District and who knows where we’ll go.  We have a very loose plan of exploring the coast of Wales.

Sending love R/P
